P-2 Fun Run- postponed
We had planned to hold a P-2 Fun Run event in October, on the newly refurbished oval. Unfortunately, this area is not yet ready for student use so we are postponing the event. We remain hopeful that this Fun Run will be the first event to be held on our refurbished oval before the end of the year, but cannot provide anything more definite until the oval is cleared for use.
Classes 2023
We have started the process of forming 2023 classes and have gathered parent input from an online Form which closed on the 16th of September. The link to this form was advertised in the newsletter on August 24th, 31st and 14th of Sept and on class dojo.
As I received a number of emails from parents indicating they had not seen this information. I re-opened the form in October, for one week.
This Form is now closed and class formation has begun. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any further parent requests.

Transition to Prep
Our Open Morning, and Prep Play Dates have been a huge success. Last week we also had a visit by the Brooke’s Street Kindy Group. It’s great to see the children and parents/carers interacting with our school staff and environment. This all helps ensure a smooth transition to Prep for 2023. Please note that our next Play Date has been changed to Thursday 10th November 9:30-10:30am and parents/carers have been notified by email.

White Ribbon Day - Friday 18 November
White Ribbon Day – Friday 18 November 2022
On Friday 18 November, we will recognise White Ribbon Day. White Ribbon Day is an opportunity to bring people together to raise awareness and commit to action to prevent men's violence against women.
In workplaces, schools, businesses and communities across Australia, people are encouraged to stand up, speak out and act to end gendered violence.
This year's theme is 'Let's be the change'.
You can help be the change by:
- organising a morning tea, a walk or guest speaker to talk with students or staff about violence against women
- collecting funds or needed items for your local domestic violence service
- promoting White Ribbon Day on your school sign and in your school newsletter or
- simply wearing white ribbons to show your support.
Disrespect, whether small or large, can lead to bullying, abuse, discrimination, domestic violence, family violence, sexual harassment and sexual violence. We all have a role to play in calling out disrespectful behaviour towards women and girls.
