White Ribbon Day – Friday 18 November 2022

On Friday 18 November, we will recognise White Ribbon Day. White Ribbon Day is an opportunity to bring people together to raise awareness and commit to action to prevent men's violence against women.

In workplaces, schools, businesses and communities across Australia, people are encouraged to stand up, speak out and act to end gendered violence.

This year's theme is 'Let's be the change'.  

You can help be the change by:

• organising a morning tea, a walk or guest speaker to talk with students or staff about violence against women
• collecting funds or needed items for your local domestic violence service
• promoting White Ribbon Day on your school sign and in your school newsletter or
• simply wearing white ribbons to show your support.

Disrespect, whether small or large, can lead to bullying, abuse, discrimination, domestic violence, family violence, sexual harassment and sexual violence. We all have a role to play in calling out disrespectful behaviour towards women and girls.
