IMPORTANT NOTICES
What if my child is unwell?
Any child who is showing signs of illness or feeling unwell, must stay at home.
If a child is showing signs of illness at school, the school will contact the parent or carer to collect the child.
Facilities
It was great to see many of the fences around construction areas removed, T Block removed and the oval free of vehicles this week. While there is still a number of areas still being finished off, we can now see the end is in sight. The students are getting so excited about accessing the new junior primary play space which looks like a lot of fun.

Update on Prep 2022 Enrolment
We have now interviewed 45 students and accepted enrolments for 67 students. Thanks to HOD Judy Loudon and teacher aide Jo Keehan for organising our 6 playdates for term 4. We also plan to hold our onsite parent information session and open morning for 2023 preppies on Thursday 27 Oct. If you know of any families who are yet to submit a prep enrolment, please encourage them to do so very soon as places are filling quickly.
Trivia Success
Congratulations to our amazing Trivia Organising committee Kelly, Nat, Michelle and Tania and to our P&C Executive team Fiona, Lyn, Dahna and Tania, as well as our many parent helpers for all their efforts in organising the event with sponsors, the program and catering, but perhaps most importantly bringing together such a wonderful opportunity for parents and staff to re-connect. We thoroughly enjoyed the night, lots of fun and laughs and I was so impressed with the creativity of each table’s costume themes. Congratulations to the best dressed table themed in one of Monty Python’s classics. A special thank you also local restaurant ‘Taj Mahal Indian Cuisine’ in New Farm who have so generously supported our school events for a number of years.

CLASSES 2023
We will soon be starting the process of forming 2023 classes. This process is complex and follows this process:
- Students nominate up to five of their year level peers, who they would like to be in a 2023 class with. Out of this group each student is guaranteed one of their preferences.
- Parents have an opportunity to submit information relating to their child’s learning, personality clashes and important family information. Parent input is welcomed, not essential and requests are not guaranteed. Do not send information at this point.
- Teachers meet as a year level group and work to input data of students who do not work well together.
- Class lists are drafted.
- Class lists are reviewed and checked for balance of gender, English as a second language, academic ability, learning difficulties, medical issues and other challenges.
- Teachers review class lists and adjustments are made.
- Leadership team review class lists and make necessary adjustments.
- Lists are cross checked to ensure each child has one nominated friend.
- If possible, parent requests are considered and adjustments made.
- Students meet their 2023 class and teacher for one session near the end of term 4. Prep 2023 students are notified via email of their Prep class.
