Instrumental Music Gala Performances

Our annual instrumental music afternoon is being held on Sunday 24 Nov from 2-4pm in our school hall.   Parents and families are very welcome to attend and enjoy this wonderful afternoon of band, ensemble and choir performances.  A huge thank you to Colin McIntyre and Chris Chapman for the marvellous work they have done this year in encouraging a love of music and in developing the musical performance skills of our young students.  I would also like to acknowledge and thank the very generous and musically talented Dan Quigley who kindly volunteered his time and expertise to our school so that the Junior Band had weekly lessons.  I look forward to seeing a wonderful crowd supporting the students on Sunday.

Finish Strong

I have spoken with students and staff in relaying one of my key messages for the end of term and end of year, that is ‘Finish Strong’.  The meaning is couched around the importance of instilling consistent routines are maintained for students as they become tired and excited about a holiday period.  This is not the time to make changes and loosen routines, rather maintaining a keen work ethic is crucial to maximising student learning opportunities and maintaining good behaviours within our classrooms, playgrounds, especially as we get into the last couple of weeks with end of year events and celebrations.
