Facilities update
Holiday works- please be aware that the school will be conducting several essential works over the holiday period. If you are not booked into Jabiru the school/grounds remain closed to all visitors.
Works include- Oval aeration, fertilising and returfing of some areas. Tree trimming, Air conditioner services, plumbing, and repair of louvers, blinds to be installed in D block and Temp Block, painting, electrical works in the Hall and pool maintenance.
Staircase A Block – emergency repairs. We have experienced some rotten wood on the staircase at the back of A block. We have lodged a work order with Building Asset Services for emergency repairs. They will secure the staircase and be back in the holiday to finalise this work. The barricade will remain in place till these works are completely finished.

Reminder to all Parents, Carers and Visitors to our school.
All volunteers are required to sign in and out at the office prior to going to your child’s class to attend activities. This includes classroom helpers and tuckshop volunteers.
The Mandatory Training for Volunteers and Visitors needs to be completed prior to attending class activities and class excursions.

School Watch
The School Watch Program is a partnership between Education Queensland, the Queensland Police Service and the State Government Protective Security Service. It aims to reduce criminal activity in Queensland schools and encourages everyone to look out for after-hours crime in our schools. If you see anything suspicious, please don’t attempt to intervene.
