QSR Update (Quadrennial School Review)
This this week we have provided our Year 6 leaders the opportunity to lead our younger students through our QSR consultation process. Each class has been to the hall where the leaders displayed key questions to guide the students thinking and generation of ideas. Thank you to Mr Lawrence and Ms Zayn Al Abidin for empowering the student leaders to facilitate this important consultation and to allow every student to have a voice in this process. There was a really positive buzz in the hall during the sessions today. The next step will be Year 6 students collating the data and then sharing it back to the students at next week’s assembly.

Further this week staff will have opportunity to reflect and have input to the process. Year 6 student leaders will also begin interviewing parents before and after school this Thursday and Friday. All Consultation will be guided by 4 key questions which are attached for your reference.
Parents will have a chance to
- talk to student leaders,
- respond individually with the handout attached which can be handed in at the office or scanned to admin@newfarmss.eq.edu.au
- attend a parent forum with David Curran (External Consultant)on Tuesday 13 August 3-4pm in B Block.
The core QSR Committee includes: Carmel McGrath (Principal), Kay Bradley (Deputy Principal), John Rafter (STEAM Coach), Fatima Zayn Al-Abidin (Year Level Coordinator Year 6), Cristian Arredondo (Year Level Coordinator Year 2), David Armstrong (P&C President) and Janelle Moody (P&C Vice President). This committee’s role is to collate the information gathered through consultation sessions and encourage as many people as possible to get involved and provide feedback. It is so important that our Strategic Plan comes from a vigorous and highly involved community base.
