Instrumental Music afternoon – Congratulations to Marina Thacker and Colin McIntyre for the fantastic Instrumental Gala Event on Sunday 18 November. The quality of the student performances was outstanding. It is pleasing to see our audience for the event is growing steadily each year. Congratulations to all the performers: Junior and Senior bands, New Farm Beats, Senior Choir and our Shine Winner Trslr.
Congratulations to our soloists in the choir: Camille, Greta and Sila who led the choir beautifully. Mr McIntyre also acknowledged the senior students leaving New Farm at the end of this year and wished them well in their music for secondary school. Special mention was made for our Year 6 soloist Dakota who has had numerous scholarship offers from a range of prestigious secondary schools. Lottie’s xylophone solo was a highlight of the band’s performance and her achievements in music have been noteworthy. Mia was commended for achievement in the honours selection in the metro schools this year. Special thanks also to Sunday Ali who accompanied the Choir and Djembe and James Byrne who accompanied on Base Guitar. Their contribution made the performances all the richer.

A reminder to ensure you purchase your family tickets for the Dance Concert. It is sure to be a wonderful night of dance performances.
