PBL Focus
Each week our PBL Focus sits within our school rules: Be Safe; Be Respectful; Be Responsible; and Be a Learner. The weekly focus is introduced on Assembly and then followed up by classroom teachers during the week where students are explicitly taught what these expectations mean in different scenarios. This week’s focus is Being Safe when using the drop-off and pick-up zones. The key messages include:
|
Drop-Off Zone |
Pick-up Zone |
|
Wait until the car comes to a complete stop before attempting to hop out of the car Exit the car on the pavement/passenger side of the vehicle |
Enter the car from the pavement/passenger side of the vehicle Wait until the car comes to a complete stop before attempting to hop in the car |
Please help us reinforce these messages at home by talking to your children about our expectations when using the drop-off and pick-up zones in the mornings and afternoons here at NFSS.
School Opinion Survey
The School Opinion Survey is undertaken each year by the Department to obtain the opinions of parents/caregivers, students and school staff about the important aspects of schooling. The survey is designed to help school identify what they do well and what they can improve. Next week, survey slips will be issued to the eldest child in each family for the parent/caregiver survey – please keep your eye out for these. Student surveys will be completed in school time. All surveys will need to be completed by 23rd August 2019.
