There are many external agencies available to schools and families that provide advice, resources and professional development in regards to catering for our students and children with additional needs. At New Farm, we access these supports regularly. Below is a summary of the Autism Hub.
For further information, visit https://ahrc.eq.edu.au/ .
The Autism Hub provides evidence-based information, support and advice to assist schools to actively include, retain and engage students with autism.
They have established strong partnerships with a range of key stakeholders to ensure innovative and cohesive delivery of services for students with autism and their families across Queensland, including Autism Queensland.
These strong connections enable them to support students, their families and educators to navigate and access the wide range of dedicated autism support services and programs offered by the Queensland Government and non-government agencies.
They provide information and deliver professional learning that supports educators to include, retain and engage students with autism and empower parents to partner with schools in their child's education.
