On Friday 10 May, New Farm State School was fortunate to be invited to the sealing of the 2049 Time Capsule Ceremony at the Queen’s Wharf development site. Our student badge leaders and everyday leaders collaborated with Miss Zayn al-Abidin to create an A3 poster prediction of Brisbane in 2049 as our school’s contribution to the Time Capsule. At the ceremony, we were lucky enough to meet with The Queensland Premier, The Minister for Education, The Minister for the Commonwealth Games, Business and Cultural greats as well as sporting icons Jonothan Thurston and Jeff Horn. Well done to the Project Captains Freya, Daniel, William, Dominic, Sierra and Ana; the resident artists Leni, Hudsyn, Angus and Diane; and to our everyday leaders, Charlie and Jake.
