Science Week 2025
National Science Week is Coming!
Week 5 – Friday 15 August
Theme: Decoding the Universe – Exploring the Unknown with Nature’s Hidden Patterns
We’re excited to celebrate National Science Week 2025 with a fantastic lineup of activities across the school. This year’s theme, Decoding the Universe, invites students to explore the hidden structures, codes, and systems that help us understand how the world – and the wider universe – works.
Throughout the week, classes will engage in hands-on science experiences prepared by their teachers, sparking curiosity, wonder, and investigation.
Our celebrations will culminate in a whole-school Science Fair in the hall on Friday, 15 August. Thanks to the support of our amazing parent and carer community, students will visit a series of engaging stalls run by parents who are sharing their expertise, passions, and careers – from geology and environmental science to artificial intelligence, health, and technology.
Every class will have a chance to visit the Science Fair during the day, with the hall also open at second break for extra exploration. Whether it’s holding a rock core sample, experimenting with light and sound, or discovering how AI “thinks”, there’s something for every budding scientist to discover!
