Head of Department - Curriculum
Curriculum and Classroom
As we approach the final week of term, we continue to enjoy a range of flexible learning experiences. A highlight this week was welcoming grandparents into our Year 1 classrooms. They had the opportunity to reflect on and share memories of their own school days with our students. While many things have changed over the years, some have remained reassuringly familiar. Our students thoroughly enjoyed discussing their writing, sharing dioramas that illustrated how animals live in various habitats and what they need to survive, and demonstrating how technology and iPads can engage and enhance their learning.
Upcoming Next Term:
Homework Policy Feedback Session
Parents are invited to provide feedback on the updated Homework Policy. The session will take place on Tuesday, 22nd July, from 2:15 PM to 3:00 pm. This will be an opportunity to view the draft policy page and share your thoughts on the messaging related to homework. If you are interested in attending, please email Mrs Krohn, Head of Curriculum, at mkroh1@eq.edu.au to register your interest.
