Parent/Teacher Interviews 1st of May and 2nd of May

Tomorrow you will receive an email containing instructions for booking parent interviews.  You will also receive a paper slip, with a student I.D.; you will need both these to complete registration.

Some extra information regarding the interviews:

Parent bookings will be open from Wednesday the 3rd of April at 6 p.m.

  • PTO is a ‘first come, first served’ booking system.
  • Each student is allocated one interview time which one or both parents can attend.
  • The times listed on the online booking page are the only times teachers are available.
  • All interviews will run for 10 minutes.
  • Your interview will start on time, even if the previous parent has arrived late.
  • Students are permitted to attend with you.
  • All interviews will take place in the assembly hall.
  • To maximise the sound quality in the hall, the adventure playground will be closed for the duration of the interview sessions.

  • Procedures for the Provision of Care after 3.20 p.m.

After school, it is expected that all children are collected or start to make their own way home as close the 3 p.m. as possible. When the 3.20 p.m. bell rings, any student who is still waiting for his/her parent is escorted to the office where parents are then contacted.

When the school office closes, promptly at 3.30 p.m., any child who holds a Jabiru enrolment will be placed in the care of Jabiru.  Parents will then be charged for the afternoon session, regardless of how long the student remains with them

Any child who does not hold a current enrolment cannot be escorted to Jabiru and will remain with any staff still on the premises.  This emergency supervision of remaining students can cause a great deal of disruption for New Farm Staff.

We therefore would very much appreciate parents making arrangements to collect their child/children as close to 3 p.m. as is possible and completing an enrolment for Jabiru to cover any emergency situations that arise.

P.B.L. FOCUS OF THE WEEK

Be Respectful in the Learning Areas; allow others a quiet work area when needed.
