Year 6 Student Legacy Project

Thank you to Ms Davis for supporting this year’s project for Year 6 students. Year 6 project group have engaged with Kelvin Grove SHS and QACI Year 11 Mentors who supported the projects across the City Collective Schools.

2025 Prep Enrolment

We are currently undertaking Prep Interviews with 42 already enrolled. Please encourage any families who are yet to submit their prep applications to do so as soon as possible. Throughout Term 3 and 4 we have planned a number of Kookie Playgroup dates and in Term 4 we hold our annual open morning for parents and new preppies meet the Prep staff.

Thank you to HOD Mrs Mel Norman and Inclusion Coach Cath Eurell for coordinating the play dates.

Term Drills

We have completed both our term Lockdown and Evacuation Drills ensuring all staff, students and visitors on our site are familiar with procedures for emergency drills in our new facilities. Thank you to teachers for their efficiency with the drills.

Year 5 Camp

The cold weather did not deter our Year 5 staff and students from thoroughly embracing all that Emu Gully Adventure camp had to offer. The students begin camp with limited experience and knowledge of the hardship endured by our ANZACs but through the brilliant program, storytelling and simulated activities, they gain some insight into the reason the qualities of our ANZACs are valued and remembered as part of our Australian History. The students learn to work together to achieve challenges successfully and are often stretched to beyond their initial expectation.  The enthusiasm and conduct of the students were very pleasing and I am very grateful to the staff team of Mr Fleming, Mrs Baker, Mr Thaker and Ms Pool-Warren who spent time away from their families to ensure students had this wonderful experience.

    Prep Musical Extravaganza

A huge congratulations to the Prep students and staff on the fabulous performance ‘Imenagerie that!’ Thanks to the creative brilliance of Mr Peter Nash and Ms Bec Davis, every prep student was actively involved in this musical performance brought to life through a collection of favourite children’s stories. Mr Nash single-handedly created indicate costumes and sets for the performance. Amazing and cuteness overload!!! Thank you for your initiative Mr Nash.
