Patch to Plate with Little Farm
This week our student gardeners from the School Plus program came full circle, harvesting the lettuce and herbs they grew in Little Farm this term and dining on handmade damper and salad. They tried four dressings for the mixed leaves – honey-soy, lemony garlic-yogurt, orange-mustard, and balsamic vinegar. Each bowl of salad was devoured and the warm herb bread was so delicious! Thank you to the School Plus staff and Carolina for this wonderful patch-to-plate collaboration. This term also saw the kids set up two worm farms and begin to recycle food waste. 

Volunteers Wanted
Please be advised that the next working bee is in the first week back - Saturday October 7th from 3-5pm. Enter via Heal Street and meet at Little Patch next to the tuckshop. Amongst other things, we’ll be making a start on oiling the wooden beds.
