Pupil Free Day – Friday 01 September

A reminder to parents that this Friday is a state-wide pupil free day.  Students do not attend school on this day. 

World Teacher Aide Day

Last week we celebrated the professional team of Teacher Aide who work in our school supporting our students and teachers.  Thanks to these hard-working dedicated staff members, we are able to provide additional programs and adjustments for students needing additional support, care and extensions.  Our Teacher Aide are positive and always strive to deliver quality programs for our students. They are a valued part of our school team.

Staff Update

This week we welcome Ms Sally Poole-Warren to our Year 5S class.  Sally is familiar with our school, staff and students and is very keen to begin later this week.  Ms Zayn Al-Abidin will be on long service leave from 04 September to 13 October with Ms Alderman teaching the class for part of this period.  Mr Rainbow is on leave 07 Sept – 09 Oct with Mr Graham Paull replacing Kent during this period.  We are also pleased to welcome Stan Williams to our office team Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Stan is one of our SchoolsPlus Coordinators and already known to many of our students and families.

Book Week

Congratulations to Ms Norman, Ms Chambers, Ms Kennedy, Ms Joynson and parent volunteers who helped coordinate the numerous activities in the library last week during Book Week.  The library was buzzing with activity during the breaks.  The week culminated with a wonderful display of fun and colourful book character costumes at our Friday Special Assembly.
