Curriculum 2023 

By now parents/carers should have received our Term 1 Overview via Schoolzine. Please check your emails for this overview which gives you a snapshot of the learning area focus for your child’s year level.  

As reported in the last newsletter, our school has a Whole School Provision for Curriculum Assessment and Reporting. This is aligned with the Education Qld P-12 Curriculum Assessment and Reporting policy. Our teachers teach, assess and report against the Australian Curriculum to ensure that all aspects are covered throughout the student’s year level (P-6) or bands (P-2, 3-4, 5-6).  

For all year levels English, Maths and Science will be taught, assessed and reported on each semester. The following Learning Areas will also be reported in 2023- 

• Prep 

• Semester 1- Drama 
• Semester 2- HASS, Music, Health and Physical Education 
• Chinese, Technologies, Media Arts, Dance and Visual Arts will be taught but not reported on 

• Year 1 

• Semester 1- Digital Technologies, Health 
• Semester 2- HASS, Media Arts, Music, Physical Education, Chinese 
• Design Technologies, Drama, Dance and Visual Arts will be taught but not reported on 

• Year 2

• Semester 1- HASS, Design Technologies and Visual Art 
• Semester 2- HASS, Dance, Music, Health and Physical Education, Chinese 
• Digital Technologies and Media Art will be taught but not reported on 

• Year 3-

• Semester 1- HASS, Drama, Health and Physical Education
• Semester 2- HASS, Design Technologies, Media Arts, Music, Health and Physical Education, Chinese 
• Dance and Visual Art will be taught but not reported on 

• Year 4

• Semester 1- HASS, Dance, Health and Physical Education
