- Class Parent Representatives
With Covid restrictions easing, we are excited to have parents more involved in school. The benefits of parents and schools being more connected is multi-faceted. Last week, I met with parents who have volunteered to be class parent reps.
Their role includes, but is not limited to:
- being a central point of contact between teacher and parents,
- providing clarification to parents on school events and messages,
- building connections amongst parents e.g. playdate after school.
- coordinating support where needed e.g. organise drop offs for a student in the event of a new baby,
- welcoming new families into the class.
After two years of being disconnected, it is exciting to plan for connecting once again. Our parent reps would like to build an email list of parent contacts so that they can ensure no one is missed from communication. You need to give consent for your name to be included in such a list and your name will not be added unless you have opted in. Please let your class teacher know if you are happy to be included.
