Conversation Starters
“How was school today?”
Have you ever had a one-sided conversation with your child/children after school? Trying to elicit any information about the day, can be frustrating. Try these conversation starters in the car or when you are having dinner:
What made you smile today?
Who did your sit with at lunch?
If you could change one thing about today what would it be?
What was the hardest rule to follow today?
Tell me something you know today that you didn’t know yesterday.
Obstathon Rewards
In assembly today, we announced the house that had raised the most money during our Obstathon. The children were very excited to learn that Binkinba had raised
$ 5,156.95! As promised, all Binkinba students will have a lunchtime disco as a reward. This will take place during lunchtime, on Friday the 17th and students who are in Binkinba house ( Red) can wear free dress for the day.
Free dress needs to be school appropriate: closed in shoes, broad brimmed hat, covered shoulders and midriffs and shorts and skirts of a reasonable length.
The individual class that raised the most money was also announced; this was 3/4A with a staggering total of $1,071.90. 3/4A have won a pizza party that will take place early in term 4. The exact date and food intolerances etc. will be managed by Ms Andrews.
Congratulations to Binkinba and to 3/4A!
