Mini-Coders 

As part of the City Cluster Mini-Festivals, our school is hosting 46 students from 12 different schools. Mr Fenton, Mr Curby (Brisbane Central SS) and Mrs Hird (Milton SS) have been running the Mini Coders program for students Year 3 and 4 students. 

Students involved in the program have been part an Invention Squad. They have been using Lego Robotics to apply their engineering design skills to each step of the design process by defining a problem with success criteria, making different prototypes, establishing systematic testing procedures, analysing data to improve their solutions and describing why their solution is the best.  

Rhea, Olive and Joshua have been representing New Farm and have highly enjoyed creating hoppers, rubbish grabbers and making stories with robots.
