Faces of New Farm Art Show
Our Prep and Year 1 students have been working very hard with Ms Davis getting ready for our upcoming 2021 Faces of New Farm Art Show. All NFSS Parents and Carers are invited to visit our art display in the hall between 8:15-8:45am & 3:00-3:15pm daily, Monday 29th March – Wednesday 31st March.
A gold coin donation upon entry (basket will be at the door) is encouraged, in support of fundraising for art supplies and resources that support our program. An invitation will be emailed to all parents of Prep & Year 1 students, however all are welcome to appreciate the amazing artwork created by our lower school students!
Dance Extravaganza
Our energetic Year 3-6 students have been learning a choreographed routine with Vanessa from Creative Dance Industries and we can’t wait to see it! All Year 3-6 parents are invited to the hall on Tuesday 30th March. All Year 3-6 parents will receive an email detailing the times each cohort will be performing throughout the day. If you are attending on the day, please adhere to COVID requirements.
Harmony Day Parade
A reminder that NFSS will be celebrating our diversity during Harmony Week with a special assembly to be held at 9am in the hall, on Friday 19th March. Unfortunately, there will be no seating available to parents in the hall, however the Flag procession will be visible from the bark area. Several students have elected to walk behind a particular flag of significance, as they form part of a procession as they enter into the hall for assembly. Given the volume of students wishing to walk behind the Australian flag, we ask that these students attend the hall as part of our valuable audience. Students who have not identified with a particular cultural group are encouraged to wear orange.
The assembly will conclude at 9:45am and a reminder to parents to socially distance from students and each other, practise safe hand hygiene and not attend of unwell.

Staff Professional Development
Our NFSS year level leaders and Ms De Boer have attended professional development opportunities with Powerful Partnerships network recently. It is wonderful to see our teachers bringing their knowledge back to us regarding effective leadership.
