New Farm State School Strategic Planning
Our 2020-23 Strategic Pillars include:
- Innovation
- Inclusion
- Well-Being
- Curriculum
Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) has been a successful framework for schoolwide approaches to behaviour curriculum. We will be modelling this approach in our Strategic Pillar Committees, ensuring:
- Shared values and vision
- Administrative support
- Clear roles and responsibilities
- Data informed decisions
- Multi-tiered systems of support
Our committees will include a range of stakeholders, including Teachers, Teacher Aides, Jabiru staff, and Parents and Carers. Providing opportunities for student voice is also an integral part of the consultation, implementation and review of each Committee.
If you wish to be involved in any of the committees, please see the attached Expression Of Interest Form for completion and return to admin@newfarmss.eq.edu.au or to the Principal at the Office. by close of business Friday 28 Feb.
TUCKSHOP NEWS & INFORMATION
We love our Tuckshop and your kids will too!!!
Our Tuckshop operates every Monday, Wednesday & Friday
Our tuckshop uses the Flexischools online ordering system. Registering is easy! Just go online to www.flexischools.com.au to register. Once registered you can start placing orders immediately and will have access to our full personalised menus at any time. Please note that Flexischools online orders must be placed by 8am on the day of order.
The paper bag system is still operating, however it is being phased out over time and we are encouraging families to register for the more convenient Flexischools online ordering system.
Should you wish to use the paper bag system, the bags will be available at the tuckshop counter each tuckshop morning and will need the child’s name, class and food/drink order written on the outside. Paper bag orders can be paid for by cash or by EFTPOS over the counter each Monday, Wednesday & Friday mornings prior to 9am.
We pride ourselves in providing the students with a variety of tasty and nutritional meals, most of them made fresh in-house by Rachael!
Each Monday, Wednesday & Friday the tuckshop offers a regular menu including toasted sandwiches, plain sandwiches, garden salads, veg sticks, fruit salads, apple slinkys as well as many other healthy & delicious choices (menus below). In addition to the regular menu we also have special meals on offer as follows:
- Monday is Fried Rice & Sushi day please note sushi needs to be pre-ordered by 8am the previous Friday
- Wednesday is Pizza & Pasta day
- Friday is Sausage Sizzle & Chili Beef/Chili Veg day
As an added bonus, Friday at second break, we sell a variety of icy poles, ice creams and frozen yoghurts ranging in price from 50c to $2.00. The students come up to the counter during second break with their money to purchase icy poles themselves, very exciting!
So, what are you waiting for?
Please help to support our tuckshop by placing regular orders, your kids will love it!!
By the way, if you wish to volunteer in the tuckshop we will be implementing a class by class roster system shortly, please see your class parent rep for more info. If you don’t have time to volunteer in the tuckshop, Homebakes are another fabulous way you can help us out, please contact Michelle on email below for more details.
