IMPORTANT NOTICES
What if my child is unwell?
Any child who is showing signs of illness or feeling unwell, must stay at home.
If a child is showing signs of illness at school, the school will contact the parent or carer to collect the child.
Classes 2023
I am currently working on the formation of classes for 2023. If you have not already done so, please let Admin know if your child/children will not be returning to New Farm next year. Please email admin@newfarmss.eq.edu.au N.B. This does not relate to current year 6 students.
I have had a number of parents requesting that their child is in the same class as friends. As students have been given an opportunity to nominate friends, we have considered all preferences regarding friendships as per the student requests.

News from the New Farm State School Ecomarines
The Ecomarines have been busy behind the scenes in 2022, keeping our grounds tidy, continuing to recycle paper in every classroom and starting a new initiative (Containers for Change).
We had our first four full bins of recycled bottles and poppers collected last week, these four bins made us $94, of which, we donated $30 (3c of every 10c we collect will be donated to this organisation) to the Ecomarine organisation that have assisted us over the past two years. So keep collecting your recycled bottles and drop them up to the front of the school Wednesday morning from 8:15am. A big thank you to our Ecomarine leaders for 2022 Alexis, Denzel, Sophia and Kareena for supporting and organising our mini marines in many activities throughout the year.

Looking forward to continuing all our great work in 2023.
