IMPORTANT NOTICES
What if my child is unwell?
Any child who is showing signs of illness or feeling unwell, must stay at home.
If a child is showing signs of illness at school, the school will contact the parent or carer to collect the child.
Kay Bradley
Choir Practice
Students in the choir, please note that due to the public holiday on Friday, our choir will meet Thursday the 28th of October, at 8.45 am for this week only.
Supervision Before School
The bell to signal the start the school day, rings at 8.45 a.m. Supervision is provided from 8.30 a.m. If you are dropping your child/children off earlier than 8.30 a.m., they are required to be booked into Jabiru. We have had a number of students arriving closer to 8 a.m. and this makes it difficult as there are no adults to supervise them. For more information about Jabiru please Click Here.
Halloween Dress Up
This Thursday, all the students are allowed to wear Halloween dress ups. We will be running a disco in first break when they can enjoy seeing each other’s costumes. If your child has an elaborate costume, a change of clothes might be good idea. A reminder that closed in shoes, a hat and sunsafe clothing is a requirement.

Happy World Teachers’ Day!
This year’s theme is ‘Bright Futures’, so here is a bunch of our teachers wearing sunglasses to celebrate the bright futures of our students!
Australia will celebrate and thank the teaching profession on World Teachers’ Day on Friday 29 October 2021. Teachers (with support from parents and carers) have ensured education continues across the country this year, despite major challenges. It’s reinforced the significant role teachers play in the lives of children and students, their families, and communities. Help collect a million virtual apples to thank teachers across Australia at www.worldteachersday.edu.au. On Friday 29 October, you can say a big thank you to teachers by posting a photo in your sunglasses on Twitter or Facebook, either on your own or with family or friends. Use these tags: #BrightFuture @aitsl Explore photos from 2020 for inspiration: https://twitter.com/i/events/1320498810343231489

On behalf of all our parents and carers, I'd like to take this opportunity to say "Thank you" to our teachers and staff. This year above all others you have supported our children through uncertain times at risk to your own health due to the essential nature of your work. Your dedication to our children is appreciated, valued and valuable.
I hope you enjoy a little surprise arranged by the teacher aides this afternoon and supported by the P&C. There is a coffee voucher for each teacher to enjoy at their leisure from The Talking Toucan as well. A small gift from the P&C to celebrate all you so.

Email and social media are great ways to keep in touch with our school staff but sometimes what we say and do can hurt, intimidate or overwhelm others.
Aggression of any kind, either physical, verbal or online is unacceptable in the workplace, so it’s unacceptable in schools.
Remember, we’re all on the same team.
Your child, our student. One team.
