Supporting Local Charity
Thank you to Ms Zayn AlAbidin and our Year 6 Community and Charity Leaders who have organised this week’s collection of dry goods. Students who wish to donate items should give them to the leaders under A Block before school. The items will then be donated to Queensland Shelter Charity.
World Teacher Aide’s Day
This week we celebrate the professional team of teacher aides who work in our school supporting our students and teachers. Thanks to these hard-working dedicated staff members, we are able to provide great support for students needing additional support and care. Our teacher aides are involved in ongoing professional development and welcome coaching and feedback in their roles. They are positive and strive to do deliver quality programs for our students. This week to show our appreciation we have planned some special surprises.
Outside Hours Tender Process
During this year we have been working with our procurement team to undergo the tender process for our Outside Hours Care Service Providers for the next 5 years. Currently Jabiru are our OHCS. I am working with both the Procurement team, MB Jenny Deans and our P&C executive in the selection process.

Unwell Students
Just a reminder that if your child is at all unwell, they need to remain at home. If your child shows symptoms at school, we will need to call you to pick your child up. We understand that this is very inconvenient, but we are following current health guidelines. If a staff member becomes at all unwell, they must have a covid test and self-isolate until they receive a negative result. Staff absences then impact classes at a time when relief staff are difficult to find.
Last week, Kookie was excited to meet students at the drop off zone, take a photo with them or even give them a high five as they went home.
