Welcome Back
It was lovely to have the majority of our students and staff back at school this week. Thank you to Mr Fenton, Mrs Norman and Mr Abelita for the curriculum and learning support provided to all staff and families during last week’s lockdown. Having our common use of Dojo, Seesaw, MSTeams and Schoolzine really helped us deliver of more effective learning at home program. We have certainly improved since our first encounter last year. I know everyone is working hard to do their best for the students and when we keep that at the heart of what we do, it lightens the load.

Uniform
A reminder that our school uniform policy is part of our enrolment agreement and is approved by the P&C.
The following jewellery is permitted at school:
- studs or small hoop earrings
- jewellery of personal religious significance.
- a digital or analogue watch, for timekeeping and step monitoring. Space Watches and Apple watches are not allowed in school, even with ‘school modes’ set.
On cooler days students may wear:
- maroon zip top with school logo, maroon vest, long sleeve tees, blue or black tights, maroon track pants or bootleg pants.
Classes 2022
As part of our process for forming classes in 2022, students are given a ‘voice’. This involves them nominating who they would like to be in a 2022 class with.
The process is as follows:
- Students nominate between 3 and 5 friends, on a paper slip. Students are reminded to only write names of students they are happy to work with and not to add a name to fill in a space.
- Teachers collect and ensure all students have completed a slip.
- Admin enter the data into a specific software that helps with the creation of classes.
- Slips are retained by D.P.
- Students are guaranteed to be in a class with one student from their list.
Parents can discuss with their child/children who they might be writing down, but slips are not sent home; this is the student voice part of our process.
Students not at school, will have an opportunity to complete the slip when they return to school.
Parents will have an opportunity to add their voice, via an online form, which will be sent out soon.
