Australian Early Development Census (AECD)
Information has been sent out to all Prep families via DoJo this week regarding the upcoming AEDC data collection. The AEDC census gives us a national picture of the development, health and wellbeing of children in their first year of full-time school. Since 2009, the census results have helped communities, schools and governments plan services and develop better policies to target support for children and families. If you do not consent to the collection of your child’s information, please contact Melinda Norman (Head of Department) at mnorm36@eq.edu.au. To find out more about the AECD, please read the frequently asked questions section on the AECD website https://www.aecd.gov.au/parents/faqs or phone 1800 092 548.

Other jackets and jumpers may be worn on the way to and from school only. This Uniform Policy is part of our enrolment agreement and is approved by our P&C.
Parent Teacher Interviews – Wednesday the 28th and Thursday the 29th of April
We have now had 305 parents have made a total of 489 bookings for our Parent/Teacher interviews, which will be held next week Click Here to Book . Please contact admin at admin@newfarmss.eq.edu.au if you are still experiencing problems.
Some extra information regarding the interviews:
- Each student is allocated one interview time, which one or both parents can attend.
- The times listed on the online booking page are the only times teachers are available. If a specialist teacher is ‘unavailable’ this is because they are now booked out.
- All interviews will run for 15 minutes.
- Your interview will need to finish on time, even if you have arrived late.
- Students are permitted to attend with you.
- All interviews will take place in the assembly hall.
- To maximise the sound quality in the hall, the adventure playground will be closed for the duration of the interview sessions. Please remind your children that this area is ‘out of bounds’ during parent teacher interviews.
